A JOURNEY OF EXCELLENCE

From its humble beginning with just 25 students in 1974, Arul Malar Matriculation Higher Secondary School has grown into a vibrant institution committed to academic excellence, character formation, holistic development, discipline, service, and value-based education. under the leadership of Rev. Sr. Joseph Louis Mary, the first Headmistress.

Over the past five decades, the school has grown steadily through the visionary leadership of its Principals.

Became a Science Practical Examination Centre, established a Computer Laboratory, and strengthened campus safety by adding emergency exits.

Hosted D-Zone Sports Meetand achieved District Rank in SSLC examinations.

2012–2014
Rev. Sr. Alda Mary Colastical

Introduced Smart Classrooms and built a modern Auditorium.

Expanded the campus by purchasing adjacent land and organized a Blood Donation Camp.

2015 - 2016
Rev. Sr. K. Vijaya Sabin Mary

Enhanced laboratories with new computers, introduced ergonomic classroom furniture, started the House System, extracurricular activities, and added a new school bus.

2016 - 2017
Rev. Sr. Meldintha Mary

 Improved hostel facilities, renovated the campus, and organized sports and social service activities.

2017-2022
 Rev. Sr. Julia Mary

Introduced the Biology–Computer Sciencegroup, developed an Herbal Garden, conducted Talentia, and successfully guided the school through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

2022 - 2025
Sr. Margret Mary Issac

Theschool underwent extensive renovation and proudly celebrated the Golden Jubilee marking the 50 years of excellence in Education.

2025 – till date

  • Inroduction of Spoken English in the Curriculum, Freshers Day, Meaningful Investiture Ceremony, Grandparents Day in the School Celebrations,
  • Inauguration of Kids Parkand Activity room for kindergarten children

The milestones achieved over the past five decades stand as a testimony to the unwavering dedication of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (FIHM), the visionary leadership of successive Principals, the commitment of teachers and staff, the cooperation of parents, and the achievements of generations of students.
